Terma City, Yalova Ortopedikler Spor Kulübü sporcularını ağırladı

İSTANBUL (AA) - Karadereli Şirketler Grubu'na ait Terma City Otel, 3 Aralık Engelliler Günü nedeniyle Tekerlekli Sandalye Basketbol Süper Ligi'nde mücadele veren Yalova Ortopedikler Spor Kulübü (YOSK) yöneticileri ve sporcularını ağırladı.

Şirketten yapılan açıklamaya göre, Yalova'nın Termal ilçesinde bulunan Terma City Very Vip Lounge'da gerçekleşen yemek organizasyonuna Terma City Genel Müdürü Altuğ Çiloğlu, Türkiye Tekerlekli Sandalye Basketbol Kulüpler Birliği ve YOSK Başkanı Alparaslan Erkoç ve sporcuları ağırladı.

Açıklamada görüşlerine yer verilen YOSK Başkanı Alpraslan Erkoç, sporla engellileri hayata bağladıklarını belirtti.

Bu yıl ligde onadıkları 4 maçtan 3’ünü kazandıklarını dile getiren Erkoç, hedeflerinin mart ayında Avrupa kupalarına katılarak şampiyonluğa ulaşmak olduğunu ifade etti.

Süper Lig'de Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe ve Beşiktaş gibi büyük takımlarla mücadele eden YOSK’u 2005 yılında kurduklarını belirten Erkoç, şunları kaydetti:

'Benimle beraber 5 engelli arkadaşlarımızla oturuyorduk. O zamanlar basketbol Türkiye’de koşar adım gidiyor. Engellileri hayata bağlamak adına da çok iyi bir spordu. Nasıl yapacağız derken, o zaman basketbolun kaç kişiyle bile oynandığını bilmiyoruz. Basketbol sandalyesi yerine Çin’den bize tenis sandalyesi geldi. Onunla beraber başladık. Hani Türkler 3 kişi bir araya gelince ülke kurarlar diye. Biz de o gün 5 kişi bir araya geldik spor kulübü kurduk. Tenis sandalyesiyle başladık, hatta karşılaşmalara özel izinle çıktık.'

Terma City Genel Müdürü Altuğ Çiloğlu ise geçen yıl Yalova'da gerçekleşen tekerlekli sandalye basketbol liglerinin konaklama sponsoru olduklarından dolayı gurur duyduklarını dile getirdi.

Aynı anda 250 engelli sporcuya ev sahipliği yapabilmenin gururunu yaşadıklarını anlatan Çiloğlu, 'Bu tek günde kutlanacak bir organizasyon olmamalı. Biz hepimiz aslında birer engelli adayıyız. Biz Terma City olarak bugünlük arkadaşlarımızla onlarla kaynaştık, engelleri kaldırdık. Çok güzel sohbetler, dostluklar kazandık. Dün olduğu gibi, bugün de yarın da artacak şekilde devam edecek. Gerçekten gurur duymamak imkansız.' ifadelerini kullandı.

- 'Spor bana dünyanın kapısını açtı'

9 yaşında geçirdiği trafik kazası sonrası engelli olan Şuayip Kablan da 11 yaşında basketbolla tanıştığını ve 24 yıldır bu sporu yaptığını belirtti.

Kablan, kendileri gibi engellilere örnek olmak istediklerini dile getirerek, sözlerini şöyle sürdürdü:

'Küçük bir, şehirde küçük mahallede büyümüş bir insanım. Spor bana dünyanın kapısını açtı. Yaşama azmimi, özgüven, bu sporla okudum, bu sporla büyüdüm. Bu sporla bilgisayar mühendisi oldum. Sporculuk hayatımın dışında iş hayatımda da o noktaya gelmede spor büyük vesile oldu. Bizlerin amacı da bizler gibi insanları hayata kazandırmak. Evlerine kapalı kamış insanları dünyanın kapılarını açmak, öncü, örnek olmak. Bunun için de desteğe de ihtiyacımız oluyor.'

Takımın tek kadın sporcusu Serra Uzun, 12 yaşında başladığı basketbolda milli formayı 13 yaşından itibaren giymeye başladığını kaydetti.

Uzun, sporun kendisine büyük katkılar sağladığını belirterek, 'Bana çok katkısı oldu. Okul, sosyal hayatım olsun bana çok büyük katkısı oldu.' değerlendirmesinde bulundu.
